The first event of 2010.

We have gotten a slow start to 2010, recovering from the busy studio work at the end of 2009! But we are set up with our first event for February 2 at The Drive In here in Florence. We will be scheduling appointments from 6-8, so come out, get a portrait created and enjoy some great food! They are also extending this offer when you have a session done at this event: “Children will receive a Free commemorative T- shirt with a purchase of a meal and proof of portrait session. ( while supplies last).” These shirts are really cool!
We are also going 1 step farther than we have with past events. The first 50% will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network as usual, but we are also donating the 2nd 50% to Haiti relief efforts! We are really hoping that this will be an amazing event, so please help us get the word out! We are just one week away from this event! Call us at 665-4646 to schedule your session time.

Angel Babies on May 12

This is where the studio’s charity work started several years ago…with Angel Babies. We did a special Limited Edition portrait series in which the proceeds went to help a very sick little boy. We LOVED doing these sessions, and that’s what got us thinking about what we could do to give back in a bigger way. After much thinking and praying, The $100 Portrait Project was born! We are two events into this project and are THRILLED with what has been accomplished so far. And for the next big event, we have decided to bring back the thing that started it all…Angel Babies! This event will be held in the studio on May 12. Angel Baby sessions will be geared to children age 5 and under. As with all other $100 Portrait Project sessions, you will purchase the session and one digital image for $100, with at least 50% of that going to The Children’s Miracle Network. I’m so excited about this event! Session times are very limited and have already begun to fill up, so if this is something that interests you, call to set yours up today! 665-4646

A change in the schedule…

Due to a scheduling conflict, we are going to have to cancel this weekend’s event at Dancin’ on Main. We are so sorry about this, and have contacted those that had scheduled a session. We look forward to announcing a new Lake City event soon.
The good news is the April 25 event at Wink Pottery in Florence is filling up fast! There are still times available, though, so give us a call at 665-4646 to schedule your session.

We have two events for the $100 Portrait Project coming up later this month and in April. March 28 we will be set up at Dancin’ on Main in Lake City from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. On April 25th, we will be set up at Wink Pottery in Florence from 10:00 to 3:00 (we may go later if needed).
These events are how we are raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. At any of these events, we can photograph families, children, individuals, friends… There really is no limit to what you can do with these sessions.
Remember, for your $100, you will get a FULL RESOLUTION DIGITAL IMAGE!!! This is something that would cost about $7000 if you wanted it from a regular session at Collin M. Smith Portrait Photography! Participate in several events, create a wall collage of portraits, document your baby throughout the first year and each year after… It is an incredible value and an amazing cause. Call 665-4646 to schedule your session at one of these events. Walk-ins will be welcome, too, but knowing you have your own time set aside will help with any waiting.

Two new events scheduled!!!

On March 28th, we will be set up at Dancin’ on Main in Lake City from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. We will be scheduling appointments every 10 minutes.

On April 25th, we will be set up at Wink, in Florence from 9:30AM to 4:00PM. Again, appointments will be every 10 minutes. They have extended a great offer for all that schedule a session: Anyone who signs up can do one piece for 1/2 off.

With both events, walk ins will be more than welcome, but appointments times will be done first.
